
Eligibility
​
1. (Normal Player) Players must have ended Emerald 4 99 LP or below AND did not promote to Emerald 3 at any point during Season 14-2 or Season 14-3. Additionally players must not have peaked Emerald 3 in season 15-1 to be eligible to join a roster. Blue Otter will only take flex rank into account if there’s a big discrepancy between a player’s solo queue rank and flex rank.

1.a If a player has played the minimum, or close to the minimum, number of games required in the previous season, they can be denied entry into the league. This also includes other factors such as previous ranked history, competitive play performance, and the peak rank of the player in the previous season.
1.b Historical ranks, most importantly Season 13, will only be taken into account if the player plays the minimum games required or a little more than the minimum

2. Solo Queue Warrior Clause - If a player peaked, at max, Emerald 3 in season 14-2 and/or 14-3, they may request an exemption if they played at least 150 ranked games in the season after they last hit Emerald 3. If the player hit Emerald 3 in 14-3, they must have 200 ranked games in Season 15 to apply for the SQW clause. Any SQW requests must be approved by BOL admins.

2.a Players who peaked E3 before May 31st in Season 15 may apply for SQW. However, the SQW requirement will be on top of regular game requirements. Anyone who peaked E2 in Season 15 will be ineligible for that league. Each team is only allowed to have 1 player like this
2.b Super Solo Queue Warrior Clause - If a player peaked, at max, Emerald 2 in season 14-1, 14-2, and/or 14-3, they may request an exemption if they played at least 500 ranked games in the seasons after they last hit Emerald 2. Any SQW requests must be approved by BOL admins.
2.c Any player under the SQW clause or the SQW clause will be required to fulfill the 10 games in 21 days rule unless an admin states otherwise.

2.d If players peaked E3 or E2 for less than a week, they can apply for an exemption to bump them up to either a normal player for E3 or a SQW for E2

3. A player may freely climb during the regular season, while on a team. However, once they hit Emerald 3 they are ineligible to switch teams.​

3.a Players may start climbing after Week 1 has concluded.
4. Teams are required to research their players, admins are not responsible if a player is found out to be ineligible later in the season.

5. All players must have 100 Solo/Duo Queue ranked games on their main account in S15-1 in order to be eligible to play in Blue Otter League at the start of the season. This includes starters, subs, AND e-subs.

5.a All ranked game requirements must be met on one account.
​
5.b Players must have 140 ranked solo/duo games to be eligible for playoffs this season.
5.c All rostered players must have at least 10 ranked solo/duo games within the last 21 days to be eligible for any regular season match. (Not enforced for week 1)
5.c.1 Failure to fulfill this rule requirement for any given week will result in 2 ban losses for the player's team.
5.c.2 This requirement is still enforced for any rescheduled matches. The players would need to meet the requirement at the rescheduled date and time.
5.c.3 This rule is player enforced and can be waived by the opposing team.
5.c.4 Once a player hits double the required games for playoffs in season 15-1 (280 games), they are no longer required to have 10 games in 21 days
5.d Ranked games should be completed with the utmost integrity. If BOL staff can verify a player has intentionally fed multiple games without a reasonable doubt, this can impact their eligibility for the league.

5.e Players are not eligible unless they have played 50+ solo/duo ranked games in Season 14-1, 50+ solo/duo ranked games in Season 14-2, 50+ solo/duo ranked games in Season 14-3, and 100+ solo/duo ranked games in Season 15-1.
5.f If a player had less than 25 ranked solo/duo games in Season 14-1, they must make up the full 50 games for that season.
5.g If a player had less than 25 ranked solo/duo games in Season 14-2, they must make up the full 50 games for that season.
5.h If a player had less than 25 ranked solo/duo games in Season 14-3, they must make up the full 50 games for that season.
5.i Players can use excess Season 15-1 ranked games to make up for missed Season 14-3, Season 14-2. and/or Season 14-1 ranked games.
5.j Players can use excess Season 14-3 ranked games to make up for missed Season 14-2 and/or Season 14-1 ranked games.
5.k Players can use excess Season 14-2 ranked games to make up for missed Season 14-1 ranked games.

6. Banned accounts and any accounts you no longer have access to do not count towards the minimum game requirement.
​
7. Before players are eligible to play on a roster they must be cleared by a Tournament Organizer.
​
8. If your main account is permanently banned during any BOL league season, you will be considered ineligible to participate in Blue Otter League for the remainder of that season. If your main account is suspended at any point in the season, you will be ineligible to play in BOL until your suspension has been lifted. The BOL league season starts when a team is accepted into the league.

9. Accounts in other regions must be disclosed to BOL staff. These accounts will be considered when determining player eligibility but will not solely be the reason for acceptance or denial.

10. All alternate accounts level 30+ must be disclosed. Failure to disclose an account can result in a suspension or possibly being denied from participating in BOL. If a player’s undisclosed account is found in between seasons, the suspension can carry over to the next season.​

11. Ultimately all eligibility comes down to admin discretion, the admins can collectively agree to deny or remove any player.

12. Player eligibility cannot be bypassed by an agreement with another team. (Minimum game requirements or rank requirements)

13. Players must link their accounts to their discord via the LeagueVettingBot using the /link-account command before they are considered for eligibility.

14. BOL uses OP.gg to determine eligibility and game count.
​
15. BOL uses League of Graphs to determine peak rank of a player.
