BOLE Storm Watch Semi Finals Part 2

BOLE Emerald Semifinals: Mint CrashOuts vs. Conduit Sun

Prediction: 3-0 Mint CrashOuts

We’re in the business end of the playoffs, and the Mint CrashOuts have made it their mission to leave no doubt about who runs Blue Otter League Emerald. Fresh off a clean 3-0 sweep over Conduit Gremlins, Mint extended their nearly perfect season. They've dropped just a single game all season and none in the playoffs. What’s more terrifying? Their games are the fastest in the entire bracket. They bleed the fewest deaths per game. They take the most dragons and towers. And as if to flex for the camera, they turned a 10-minute pause into a Poom Pantheon pentakill. Peak alliteration? Maybe. Peak performance? Absolutely. Mint isn’t just winning—they’re making it look easy.

Conduit Sun: A Glimmer of Heat or Outmatched Light?

On the other side of the rift, Conduit Sun took down Bloom Gaming Wisteria in a 3-1 series that, while solid on paper, left some questions on the table. Yes, they claimed three of four barons and took an inhibitor in every game they played. Their macro looked solid, and they maintained strong gold leads in their wins. But context is king. Bloom Wisteria—who I had power ranked at #8—gave them a scare with Wren pulling off a quadra into a pentakill. Bloom still averaged over five towers and two dragons per game. Conduit won the series, but not without showing cracks.

And let’s be real: the bottom right side of the bracket was soft. I had No Quarter Gaming at 16th, Draconic Spire outside the top 20, and Conduit Sun themselves sitting at 17th. Of the 21 community pickems, only three people had Conduit making the top 4. Mint, meanwhile? Twelve people slotted them in the top four, and they’re the most picked team to win the entire league. Let’s not forget: these teams met back in Week 4. Both ran a sub, but Mint still stomped 2-0. The games didn’t even hit the 30-minute mark. Conduit managed just three towers total and had a team KDA of 1.2 a third of Mint’s kills. That’s not just a loss. That’s a dismantling.

How Conduit Sun Could Win (But Probably Won’t)

Look, I’m a self-professed Conduit Sun hater, and I’m not backing off that stance now. But in fairness, here’s the slim path to a miracle:

  • Flex Like Mad: If there’s any hope, it lies in the unpredictability. Captfill and LLClasper are the kings of off-meta comfort—Urgot jungle, Ivern top, you name it. Flex those picks, aim for lane priority, and throw Mint off their prep.

  • Save the Draft for Domination2340: Protomorph tends to favor blind-pick mids, which could give Conduit an opening to secure favorable bot lane conditions late in the draft. Domination2340 needs a comfort pick, and more importantly, a lane where he’s not playing from behind.

  • Level 1 Cheese: If nothing else, go down swinging. Burn a flash early, get weird with invades, hit them with something unscoutable. Mint is clean, but every perfect plan has a crack somewhere. Find it.

Final Thoughts

Let’s not sugarcoat it. This matchup is lopsided. Mint has better laners, crisper macro, a terrifying mid diff, and the momentum of a freight train. I’m fully aboard the Mint Hype Express, and I don't think Conduit Sun has a shot in hell at derailing them. But upsets are what make League magical. So, best of luck to Conduit Sun bring the heat, bring the spice, and if nothing else, make it messy. The Sun may rise but not without permission from Daddy Mint.
