Cheongs Plat Content Week 3

Another week ended and another week of content coming at all of you. Some upsets shook up my predictions this week and roster changes went crazy after some results. Also thanks to all the players that responded to my questions and I hope to bring around more content like that for the future. Now let's get into this!

Week 3 Game Results-

HydroPump Great White 2 - 0 Hydro Lotus - So um, did Great White pay Lotus to throw this series vs them. I might have been giving too much credit to Lotus and not enough to Great White, or I was drunk with my predictions. Great White once again got Skooger on his Asol and won around the whole map. I wasn’t sure how Great White would perform when I heard who was on that roster but they are doing much better than I was expecting. Consistent draft plan and identity definitely moves this team up in my eyes. For Lotus I was not a fan of their drafts and it seemed they just lagged behind the entire series. I’m unsure if they are an ibsg promotion team or a long standing gold team, but for a team with full matching names I was expecting more. Hopefully Lotus and bounce back next week while Great White looks to continue their winning ways.

AIE Anguish 2 - 1 TFF Misfits - TFF might kick me after this one but I am not a fan of this roster without Coconut. They seem to lack consistency, direction and a definitive strong point on the map. While game 2 the bot side for Misfits carried them we turn around to a game 3 where Mao support went Bloodsong and mobi boots….this can’t be real man. For AIE they way overperformed what I was thinking I would see from them. They still have spots to improve and grow with but this is a huge step in the right direction for them. I’m hoping AIE continues in this direction and Misfits can fix their sinking ship before it's too late.

Imperial Gaming 2 - 1 SON Lero - Imperial was looking like the third best team in the league to me but dropping a game to a team they should have easily handled hurts them a bit. It looks like I have to write this again but Azure got Zeri, and popped off again. PLEASE STOP THE EGO AND BAN THIS MANS ZERI. Azure has shown that he is the carry of this team in game 2, trying to throw his team on his back and bring them to a 2-0 win, but SON Lero stopped them from that with a crazy Nocturne game from Puzzles and a unkillable Zac from TLP. But, now is time for the negative; this is another week where I do not like Lero’s draft. Game 3 draft very quickly falls into, “oops, no damage.” if they can't get ahead early and that seems to be what happened, and that was the same issue they had in game 1 draft. Their game 2 draft on the other hand is miles better then what they have been drafting. A clear teamfight angle with a safe adc helped guide them to getting 1 win on a board versus a top team in the league. Lets see how Lero ends up drafting next week.

Dorado Rho 2 - 0 Monkey Business - Maybe I didn’t credit Dorado enough or I over credited Monkey;s but these teams seemed to be on 2 different levels. Dorado put their foot down and didn't give an inch of breathing room to Monekys. The bench riding goat Efron showed up and showed with his jungle in what seemed to be a 2v2 masterclass while the rest of Rho just won. Monkey’s tried their best to make something work this series but just could not find an angle to do so. Lunique tried in game 1 on Aurora and Grim on Lucian in game 2 but neither came close to their role counterparts. Rho will most likely continue their winning ways next week as Monkey’s look to bounce back.

HydroPump Mako 1 - 2 SG Proton - Oh I swear my boys at SG are trying to make me lose my job at content writing. This team can not win game 2’s if you started with only the nexus turrets for the enemy team remaining. Mako performed better than I was expecting with the roster changes that they went through in between weeks. Ish and Nanites absolutely showed out in game 2 on the ap solo lakers only dying 3 total times between the two of them. Maybe we should make them permanent fixtures Mako. Perhaps these are moves in the right way and Mako can start pulling off some upsets and make a push for playoffs. For SG, imma beat y’all if you play a game 2 like this again. Clean it up, bounce back. No I’m not biased, I’m their number 1 hater, along with Zaxe(love you pookie.)

Conduit Prime 0 - 2 Atomic Desperadoes - Fini mid, sub jungle? No problem for Atomic as they pick up the clean set vs Conduit. This team seems to know how they want to play and execute on it. Maybe they don't need to be looking for a starting jungle and just give it to Rake1Rake1Rake1. For Conduit we have another week without their intended starting roster. Klug tried their hardest in game 2 despite being off role but could not make it work this week. XIL also showed up on the Brand in game 2 pumping out damage but just not enough to pump out a win. I hope for Prime’s sake they do not take these losses too hard and learn from them and look to continue to build up as a team. For Atomic they are performing how I expected of them and curious to see how they do when placed against some of the stronger teams in the league.

Conduit Revelation 2 - 1 Monkey Champagne -

Man he was not lying, but looking at the stream and post game Nasian ran down game 2 all on his own. This series played out exactly how I thought it was going to. Dominate game 1 win by Conduit, Conduit troll game 2, bounce back and crush game 3. Chai not playing TK might be the biggest mistake Conduit made that series, have you not watched this man Q simulator into solo kills on that champ? But for Monekys…hold on I got something for this…”WE STEELSTAN FOR STEELFAN. HE IS THE STEELMAN WITH THE STEELPLAN. YOU DON'T HAVE ENOUGH STEELBANS. LOAD THE STEELVAN WITH YOUR LP. FF WHILE YOU STEELCAN.” Yorick go bonk, what more can I say? Besides the bonkening, Barolo and Nightmare put up great numbers and Bread went on to Ivern to help give Vayne the enchanter she needs to thrive. This draft and game plan was solid for Champagne but who knows if they will get it again with Bread being benched, RIP the homie.

MZRY Obsidian Vice 0 - 2 TFF Banana - Ultimice? More like Ultinice, am I right? What a series out of TFF with a Esub to take down one of the heavy hitters in Zuan let alone the league. The whole team played up to a higher level and sent MZRY packing. But for MZRY, a rough series. Narva tried his hardest in game 1, and Wall St in 2 but neither seemed up to snuff this week. Granted planning for an Esub is always hard but sometimes it just isn't your week. Hopefully MZRY can take off cruise control and accelerate forward while TFF will try not to slip on their own peel next week.
