Welcome to the Semifinals everyone! Congrats to all the teams that made it here and thank you to all the teams that have participated this season. I am excited to see what teams make it to finals so let's get to the good stuff!
Quarter Finals match Results -
Dorado Rho 3 - 0 SG Proton - In what I thought was going to be a competitive series turned out to be Dorado continuing the perfect run. This team has still yet to drop a series, let alone a game, but that doesn't mean SG didn’t push them at points in this series. In game 1 SG started out by getting an early gold lead, but ended up throwing it away and dropping down to 7k gold behind at 35 minutes. Dorado was not able to close that game out at that point and SG found some good team fights with the Senna/Sera comp the draft and retook the gold lead, going up 3k gold at 45 minutes. Sadly SG was then not able to close out, losing a fight around baron which Dorado took and won game 1 despite being down gold. Game 2 was the battle of the adcs. While SG never had a gold lead Yomi was putting on his best carry attempt on Trist going 13/4. Sloppy got the gold lead on his Caitlyn and Dorado was able to keep the gold lead in this one and slowly closed out the game with a better team fighting comp thanks to Wukong and Taric. In game number 3 SG tried to do their best to do anything to bring the series back, but Dorado showed again why they are the best team in the league, getting an early gold lead and using superior team fighting and hands to close out the series, looking to continue the perfect road to the championship.

MZRY Obsidian Vice 3 - 0 Hydro Great White - Look what we got here, its Tortuga my glorious king showing off. So I did try to watch some of these games when I could inbetween casts. In game 1 in theory I do like that comp that Great White did draft, but if they get behind they just lack damage which is what happened in this exact game. On the other hand the MZRY comp had multiple damage threats and all of them were at a point where they could threaten and carry a team fight. They had a few teamfights where they miss stepped and gave a small window back to Great White but quickly shut it and closed out game 1 easily thanks to Wall St Irelia and Tortuga Ashe. In game 2 Tort took over the game on the Ashe and Trux pulled out a beautiful TK pick once the Vi was locked in for Great White. MZRY got out to an early gold lead and played to keep Tort alive and they did exactly that, only letting him die once. Once a Jinx snowball starts it is very hard to stop it and Great White was not able to do it. In this game Great White once again drafted a comp where if they get behind they do little to no damage and that is exactly what happened. And I do not like the Blitz pairing with Cait. For game 3 Narva pulled out the Zeri top and went crazy on it and once again Tort put on his carry shoes. I like Wall St picking Galio this game knowing that he is not the carry and just needs to defend his double adcs. I do like the Great White comp minus the part where they do not have hard cc lock down for Zeri, and it seemed like that cost them the series in the end.

Conduit Revelation 3 - 2 Monkey Business - Now this was a series! Monkey’s came out and shocked everyone giving the business to Conduit in the first to games, forcing a reverse sweep to happen. In game 1 Monkey’s fell behind in early gold due to the comp that Conduit drafted, but they scaled up and won due to team fights. Fenbach and Grim went crazy in the first game, being the reason their team won out in the end. Game 2 we saw the battle of ADC’s once again in a playoff series. Manveer was 11/3 on the Jinx but could not stand up to Grim’s 11/5 Jhin at the end of the day. This game was all over the place with gold advantages thrown away. I wish I watched this series to give you better insight for this game. Game 3 was by far the cleanest game played and it was all Revelation from that start. As a team they only died once, gave up the herald, 1 dragon and 2 turrets. This is what you want to see from a team to hard swing all momentum back in their favor and that is exactly what Revelation was able to do. The Monkey draft lacks damage if they fall behind, and since that is what happened it is hard for them to fight their way back into the game, especially with the limited CC they have for a Lillia. Game 4 was almost as clean as game 4, but Conduit died 2 times instead of 1. Batman had his worst game on the series in game 4, going 0/8 on Voli. He went with the tankier build instead of the carry one. On paper I get it since Monkey’s lacked front line but I think that if you are playing Voli you should just be building the high damage build or picking a different champ. Raven was the only one to die on Conduit, but she is the goat so they were deaths that were needed. In Silver Scrapes, in game 5 Manveer got his Apehlios and Conduit used the TK flex that they have had all season to pull off the reverse sweep. Monkey’s did not give it to them easily as Grim tried his hardest to carry on his Caitlyn, but Manveer Apehlios was too strong, even stronger when he has Lulu in his back pocket. This was by far the best and most entertaining series and a heart break for Monkey Business.

Imperial Gaming 0 - 3 Monkeys Champagne - I had the pleasure of streaming this series, but I did not get to watch all of game 1 but from what I did get to see Nightmare was phenomenally evil on the Veigar and went deathless, throwing out huge damage numbers. In the early game IG was making some strong plays on the map to pick out Champagne but the stronger team fight comp that Champagne drafted showed up in late game fights and won them the game. Game 2 IG tried to force a Caitlyn comp but were not able to pull it off. Pinkpwnguin knew how to press his Q button on Blitzcrank and kind of solo carried the game for his team. The Cait/Lux lane did not respect the Blitz power at all and Pwnguin was able to use it to get Barolo to be the carry on Jinx. Also this game Nightmare was again showing off his mid lane prowess vs a role swap player and kept the gap between them wide. For game 3 we got the Steelfan Urgot that I wanted all series and he got fed early. He got to a point where it was too hard for the IG comp to kill him consistently. IG drafted the very fun, “more damage comp” and going for a r5 Quinn on series point. They had a lot of good picks and threat but sadly with no front line they just fell susceptible to comp that Champagne had. MVP of the Series: Pinkpwnguin Valiant Effort: Chef J

Conduit Revelation 3 - 1 Monkey Business
Imperial Gaming 1 - 3 Monkeys Champagne
Semifinals Predictions -
Dorado Rho 3 - 1 MZRY Obsidian Vice - Everyone knows the Dorado Rho is the favorite of this series. They haven’t dropped a single game all season long and it looks very hard to be the first team to do so. MZRY has looked like the third best team all season and it sucks that they are considered to be the underdog here with how well they have been playing all season. This series is going to be the battle of the solo laners. Wall St and Narva have been the pinnacle point of this MZRY team punishing their lane opponents and forcing them into uncomfortable positions. BIG NEWS and Bootybangingbilly are strong laners themselves but this will be a test for them. IF MZRY wants to have a shot they need to play their normal style and use their strong solo laners to shut down the late game carry of SloppyRN for Dorado. Dorado will need to either counter MZRY’s play style or neutralize it like how they have against all their opponents all season long.
Lane to Watch: Top/Mid Narva vs BIG NEWS - Wall St vs bootybanginbilly
Conduit Revelation 3 - 2 Monkeys Champagne - Monkeys Champagne gets the aid of their sister team who just played against Conduit. This series comes down to if Monkeys can stop Manveer and Raven who have been looking like one of the best duos all season long. Conduit plays for bot lane most of the time, knowing that Manveer is their carry and Chai can be left on an island most of the time. Monkeys plays a similar style with just a bit more focus around their mid lane. Conduit either needs to dominate on their style or potentially flip the script and have Derisian and Chai carry them this series. Monkeys will look to have Nightmare and Barolo be their carries like normally and look to let Steelfan play weak side and create impact on his signature picks. I think this series will be another banger if Monkeys shows up tonight.
