Week 7 Manatsu’s Magazine

Hi! Manatsu here, power ranking and predicting who will win their matches this week. We just finished the second round of divisional games, and all divisions except Division 4 are still anyone’s games. We got some upsets. Tiers are a little hard to cement so I’ll be removing them in this week’s iteration of the power rankings. Since we are also now two-thirds into the season, I’ll be adding a “magic number” section in the standings instead of showing what the standings would be after ELO and my predictions. We also have our first team eliminated from playoff contention. You will notice a new stat called RPR. It stands for Remaining Power Ranking, and it’s the average power rankings of the teams left for the team to play. You could use it to see who has the hardest remaining schedule. Let’s get started!

By far, this has been the most successful week. I was able to predict 7 out of the 8 divisional games correctly. At this point in the season, ELOs won’t shift much so consistency will be key for teams to move up and down in the power rankings.
