BOL Platinum Content Delivery! Week 1

BEEP BEEP Here comes the BOL Platinum Content Delivery Truck! Im your driver, Trux. We'll reflect on the outcomes of Week One and peer into the future, predicting what lies ahead in Week 2. But first, let's delve into the happenings of the first week.

Week One Results:

  • Conduit Gremlins 2 - 0 First Class Esports

    • In a clash between one of the undoubtedly top-rated teams and a recent addition to the BOL Platinum scene, the Gremlins effortlessly outclassed First Class Esports, securing victory with two decisive match wins.

  • Agni Kai 2 - 1 Goon Squad Gaming

    • Despite a challenging game one that led to a loss, Agni Kai showcased remarkable resilience, coming back to secure two consecutive wins. Both teams faced difficulties in both matches, indicating areas that require improvement as they prepare to face stronger opponents in their upcoming games.

  • Subatomic Gaming Proton 2 = 1 Conduit UMad

    • After a grueling series of games, UMAD succumbed to a superior and more cohesive team. However, they showcased perseverance, and remain a formidable opponent. Given time and effort, they have the potential to emerge as the top team in the league.

  • Dynasty Celestials 2-1 Nameless Gnomes

    • Dynasty clinched a 2-1 victory against Nameless, who have been grappling with roster issues. Despite these challenges, Nameless demonstrated tenacity and managed to secure a win. Both teams, however, must work on their team synergy if they want to beat better team.

  • Big Duck Entourage 2-0  AIE Anguish (FF)

The following content is not the opinion of BOL staff, but of the content creator.

Team Power Rankings:

  1. Subatomic Gaming Proton - Strong roster

  2. Conduit U Mad - Close series vs strongest team

  3. Conduit Gremlins - Yet to prove themselves

  4. Dynasty Celestials - If this roster clicks it will climb the ranks

  5. Agni Kai - Dark horse. With team synergy they will impress.

Week 2 Game Predictions:

  • Conduit UMad 2 - 1 Dynasty Celestials - Both teams looked shaky week 1

  • Conduit Gremlins 2 - 0 AIE Anguish - Should be another clean sweep

  • SG Proton 2 - 1 Agni Kai - Rooting for underdog Agni, they need to play better then last week to beat this # 1 team.

  • Goon Squad Gaming 2 - 1 Big Duck Entourage - Both teams need this win to prove they can play with the better teams.

  • Nameless Gnomes 2 - 0 First Class Esports - Gnomes roster changes might be what they need to start winning.

Standout Players of Week One:

  • Top:  Wock Warlock (Agni Kai) - Key Contributor to teams win

Before we jump into the power rankings I will say this. The transition of many players to Emerald has certainly reshaped the competitive landscape, creating an exciting void waiting to be filled by fresh faces and rising stars. These rankings proved challenging, especially this early in the season, and I anticipate they may be perceived as bold assessments.

Honorable Mentions:

  • Níghtmarë: An outspoken and mechanically skilled player, his transition back to midlane from ADC and Jungler seemed shaky on his first match day. Looking ahead, I anticipate noteworthy achievements that could secure him a spot in the power rankings.

  • Gvgnumber1: The standout mid laner in the BOL scene is unquestionably a name that everyone knows. As a former teammate, I can say that he is in contention for the title of the top mid laner. While his impressive week one statistics speak for themselves, I believe the measure of his skill will be when he and his team face off against stronger opponents. Consider this a friendly challenge, a toss of the gauntlet, inviting him and his team to prove their mettle against tougher competition.

  • NotŠoDark: A former teammate of mine, I want to make it clear that my intention is not to throw a jab, as he undoubtedly deserves consideration among the top rankings. It's more of a friendly challenge. The same that I've extended to GVG.

Fan Opinion:

I've decided to keep them anonymous to avoid bloodshed in gen chat.

  • “GVG is not as good as he thinks he is. He's a bottom half mid and got and ez match up week 1 so he'll keep glazing himself.”

  • “SGP is playing too safe and reactive. They need to learn to end games when they have advantages. Conduit U Mad's problems week 1 are more easily solvable, so I'm only putting SGP higher because of recency bias.”

  • “Dynasty has feathers, therefore dynasty wins”

  • “Agni Kai can be one of THE biggest upset teams this split, they have the roster strength to really stick it to teams and they are hungry to win.”“Alf will be the best mid laner in BOL Plat this split.”

  • “Dark is good player! (Better than the rest. Multi-role God, if you will.)”

  • “If you don't know Accel, he basically made.me. He taught me all I know and he's the most handsomest around. Sub adc? He should be adc in all team's.”
